2014 MTV Movie Awards

Whoa. We were expecting some memorable looks from the 2014 MTV Movie Awards —there are always a few —but what we weren't expecting was for all our faves to look so ***flawless. So many colors, dresses with pockets, and robes (JK, there was only one of those) that we luhhhve. Below are the ladies we thought totally nailed it—check 'em out below!
LUPITA NYONG'O IN CHANEL

We've long praised Lupita Nyong'o for her love of color and wearing every shade of the rainbow during awards season, so we were thrilled when we saw that tonight she was wearing all of them, at the same time. It's official: Lupita can wear any and all color and look amazing. We bow down.
ELLIE GOULDING IN ARMANI

We said it once and we'll say it again—Ellie Goulding is a goddess. Ellie paired this perfectly summery Armani gown with beachy waves and light makeup, making us even more excited for summer. It wasn't even her only white gown of the night—pulling off two within a few hours takes skills, TBH.
RITA ORA IN BARBARA CASASOLA

Rita Ora also had pockets in her dress—you gotta keep your snacks somewhere, y'know? Rita accessorized her plunging black Barbara Casasola gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and, as usual, a red lip. In addition to looking like this, Rita also was responsible for taking Zac Efron's shirt off, so it was a good night, I'd say.
IGGY AZALEA IN JOHN GALLIANO

Iggy Azalea wore a bejeweled, pale lavender John Galliano gown with matching Galliano wedges. Our fave element of the entire look, though, was her crimped ponytail. It takes a brave person to endeavor to pull off crimped hair, but if anyone can do it, it's Iggy.
NICKI MINAJ IN ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

We already took a close look at Nicki Minaj's understated Alexander McQueen gown, but what we didn't see in her Instagram pictures was the sheer paneling that ran up and down the sides of her dress. With her simple hair and perfect cat eye, this is one of our all-time favorite Nicki looks.
SHAILENE WOODLEY IN BALMAIN

Shailene Woodley opted for two pieces from Balmain instead of a dress, and we are very much feeling her choice. A knotted, long-sleeve leather shirt is not an item of clothing you see often, so we applaud Shailene for introducing us to it. Plus, that belt. Enough said.
RIHANNA IN ULYANA SERGEENKO

OK, like, only Rihanna would wear a robe on the red carpet. We are keeping our fingers crossed that this becomes a ~thing~ because that means wearing pajamas outside will be acceptable. Please, Rih, wear sweatpants to your next red carpet. PLEASE.
AMANDA SEYFRIED IN SAINT LAURENT

Amanda Seyfried didn't walk the carpet, but she did wear this sparkly Saint Laurent suit on stage, and we couldn't overlook it. Color + glitter can be hard to pull off, but Amanda paired the skirt and blazer with a simple, sheer black shirt, which tied the look together effortlessly. This is not a skirt suit you'd wear to your office, and that's why we like it.
VICTORIA JUSTICE IN ATELIER VERSACE

Victoria Justice was one of the few ladies to wear a mini, but she looked ah-may-zing in her pink-purple Atelier Versace piece. She accessorized with a danging set of diamonds and a bright pink lip, which not only tied the entire thing together but looked super springy.
