16-Yr-Old Girl Give Birth To A Baby With One Eye On Her Forehead, how real?

one-eye-baby
The baby was born to a 16-year-old girl in the nation’s Eastern Cape and she died a day later at the Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital. The baby also had no nose and the one eye was set in the middle while the remaining area was covered with skin.
According to reports: The birth of yet another deformed infant to a 16-year-old mom from the Eastern Cape has raised serious concerns. The Eastern Cape Health Department is now calling for research into why so many babies were being born with deformities in the province.
Eastern Cape spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo told the South Africa news agency that some 50 deformed babies have been born in the region in the past two years and there is no “documented cause” for the growing trend.
Describing the baby girl born on Saturday at the Dr Malizo Mpehle district hospital in Tsolo, near Mthatha, Kupelo said: “She was born with a small man-hood on the forehead and one eye on the forehead.”
“She was born with no nose and where there are supposed to be eyes there was nothing, just skin covered over the area.”
Earlier this month, a pair of conjoined twins were born also at the Dr Malizo Mpehle district hospital in Tsolo, SAPA reported, adding that they were the fifth set of conjoined twins to be born in the region in the past year and half. Other deformities witnessed in the area include babies with their hearts and brains exposed, as well as babies born with multiple penises and legs.
Doctors in the area remain “in the dark” as to the root cause of the growing number of deformed babies, Kupelo said and has asked specialists and researchers to help determine the cause.
He also hopes to bring in more pediatrics specialists. In most cases, babies born with deformities die, but “where necessary we attempt procedures but unfortunately the majority die,” Kupelo said .

Pressure On Reps C’ttee Probing Diezani’s N10bn Jet... APC WARNS

Allison-Madueke-jetThe All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly warned against any attempt to put pressure on the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts that is currently probing the disturbing jet scandal involving Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Alison-Madueke.
In a statement issued in Lagos on Sunday by its Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the investigation into the scandal is of great public interest, hence those who are reportedly piling pressure on the committee should desist.
It said the allegation that the minister has spent 10 billion naira of taxpayers’ funds to junket around the world in chartered private jets is very serious and cannot be swept under the carpet as the PDP-led Federal Government will like to do.
“Scandal is the hallmark of the PDP-led Federal Government and the presidency, hence both may not feel the public anger at the report that a minister, whose most notable ‘achievement’ is her contribution to Nigerians’ burden with her fixation on endless fuel price increases, has been frittering away the country’s resources on the altar of unprecedented profligacy.
“But Nigerians are interested in knowing the truth. Since the presidency has shown no interest in unraveling the truth about the latest scandal to hit the country under its watch, the House of Representatives which has taken on the challenge of seeking the truth should not be hindered by anyone.
“Nigerians will like to know whether or not the minister spent the huge funds on jets, who authorized the spending of such funds, whether or not the expenditure was appropriated by the National Assembly and which laws allow a government minister to junket around the world even on private trips”, APC said.
The party commended the Public Accounts Committee for its diligence and stated willingness to be fair to all and to carry out a thorough investigation.
APC further urged the committee members to continue to put the interest of Nigerians above any individual or party’s interest and to rebuff any attempt to pressure them against carrying out their constitutional duties.

NLC Tells FG To Suspend Planned Sale Of Refineries, Others, Calls For Probe Of PHCN Privatization

the-president-of-the-nlc-mr.-abdulwahed-omar-9997567890
The Nigeria Labour Congress has advised the Federal Government to halt any plans it has to sell off public properties.
It also urged the National Assembly to investigate the recent privatization of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria and all previous sales and reclaim those properties that might have been sold to private interests.
The NLC President, Abdulwaheed Omar in a statement on Sunday said, “The haste with which government seems determined to sell off public properties to members of the ruling class and their cronies under the guise of making them more efficient is alarming”.
The labour union’s position was in response to a statement credited to the Director General, Bureau of Public Enterprises, Mr. Benjamin Dikki that the National Council on Privatisation had listed the nation’s four refineries for possible privatisation this year.
The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Deizani Alison-Madueke, had earlier in the year reiterated her position that the Federal Government was ready to privatise the refineries. However, following strong opposition from organized labour, the government was forced to deny knowledge of any such plan.
But later, Dikki said the NCP had approved the partial privatisation of the Bank of Industry and the Bank of Agriculture; the privatisation of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange, Skypower Catering & Hotel Services and commercialisation of the national parks.
He further said that efforts were geared towards concluding the guided liquidation of NITEL/MTEL and the policy/legal and regulatory framework review to prepare the grounds for the commercialisation of the media enterprises including the Nigerian Television Authority, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, National Films Corporation and the News Agency of Nigeria.
NLC in a statement titled “Stop selling public properties,” said, “There is the need  for  caution  because these properties belong to the Nigerian people as a collective wealth and the people have never been consulted and their interests considered before the sales.
“It is scandalous that the same government who had always promised to use the gains from the petroleum price increases, which it has received over the years, to reactivate existing refineries and build additional ones can turn around to announce the privatisation of refineries.
“This is clearly unacceptable, and the public have strongly opposed this attempt several times in the past, even on the floor of the National Assembly”.
The NLC noted that there was no evidence that previous privatisations yielded positive results as electricity supply had deteriorated under the recent privatisation of the power sector.
“Government should not abdicate its social responsibilities by selling off everything that delivers services to the people. This is unwarranted, especially in a country where poverty and unemployment have become endemic coupled with the collapse of industries.
“What we need in Nigeria is not a blind adoption of neo-liberal policies that mortgage the interests and future of our people.
“Our national economy depends largely on the oil industry and if we allow the industry to be handed over to private individuals, it would then mean the entire economy would become private property run by private individuals, mostly cronies of those in government, against our collective interests”.
While advising the BPE to stop the proposed sales, the union urged the National Assembly to probe all previous sales and reclaim public properties that might have been sold to private interests.
“We must not allow the continuation of the robbery of our collective interests.
“Private individuals can build their refineries, but government must reactivate, maintain and take full charge of existing public refineries and also build new ones”, the statement added

I HAV FORGIVEN Atiku.... Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo

Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday, responded to the request of Northern Youth Leaders Forum, NLYF, to forgive his estranged former deputy, Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, saying; “I have forgiven him”.
Atiku reportedly fell apart with his boss during their second tenure, which began in 2003, over the Adamawa politician’s perceived desperation to succeed his boss, who was also scheming behind the scene to have his constitutionally guaranteed two-terms of eight years extended for what became known as ‘third term’.
Obasanjo, who stated this after a two-day meeting with the forum in Abeokuta, Ogun State, said he had also forgiven other persons perceived to have offended him.
The Forum, led by its chairman, Elliot Afiyo had pleaded with Obasanjo to forgive his then deputy of whatever political offence or sin he might have committed against him.
Atiku, who was vice-president from 1999-2007, has stated at different fora that he did not hold any grudge against the Ota farmer for using state power to scuttle his own presidential aspiration, insisting that his differences with Obasanjo were based mostly on politics and respect for rule of law.
The former president in response to request by the NYLF said as a leader and father, he had no ill-feelings towards anyone and even if he once did, he had since moved on.
He said: ‘On the request that you made yesterday, I do not have any grudge against anybody. And if there is any, I’ve forgiven all as a father”.
Obasanjo, who thanked the group for coming to Abeokuta to make case for a way forward for the country, recalled that since 2003 the group had witnessed increase in membership.
“The effort of your group has been noteworthy. I’m happy that you have also increased in number. Let me appreciate all your support since 2003 and urge you to continue by ensuring that credible leaders are elected in 2015”.
Leader of the delegation, Afiyo had earlier said that the group was in “Abeokuta to visit our Baba to identify with his vision for our great country, Nigeria”.
In a position paper submitted earlier on Saturday, he said: “We have come to you (Obasanjo) as a father indeed.
“With your positive attributes, Chief Obasanjo has no option or alternative than to chastise and later forgive and embrace both the good and bad characters.
“In view of this, we humbly request that you forgive your former vice-president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of whatever political sin or offence he might have committed against you. We bow oursleves before you on his behalf and plead for mercy and understanding”.
The national chairman added that the mission to come and plead for the former VP did not in anyway stop him from charting any noble political course for the nation come 2015.

Hafiz Oyetoro said it was not a spiritual attack

Comic Hafiz Oyetoro who recently lost some of his belongings to a fire outbreak at his office in Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education has debunked rumour that the fire outbreak was caused by a spiritual attack
Saka said:
“No, I don’t believe that it has to do with spiritual attack, I was not the only person affected by the incident. Offices of eight lecturers were burnt by the fire. I don’t think anything should be attached to it,” he said.
When asked if he would easily forget the experience, the MTN ‘I don port’ Ambassador said, “that is life my brother, life is full of challenges. You don’t dwell on bad occurrences. As far as I am concerned, it has happened and there is nothing anybody can do about it. I only pray that God gives me the courage to go ahead and I am willing to go ahead. I thank God no life went with it. My family is intact, the only thing is that I lost some properties to the fire. I take it as one of the distractions of life.”

PDP accuses opposition of influencing media attacks

Abuja - The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)  of engaging the services of foreigners to launch media attacks on individuals and institutions of government.

“We have observed the ill-conceived and wicked offensive deployed by the APC wherein it has now resorted to attacking the personality of individuals and institutions of government using a section of the media.

"In the last few days, the media have been awash with paid write-ups and advertorials by the APC using resources meant for the development of their states to castigate, discredit and ridicule PDP officials and other well-meaning individuals in the country,” the ruling party stated in a press statement signed by Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary.

“It is rather despicable that instead of coming out with tangible explanations that would delink it from the negatives for which Nigerians have rejected it, the APC, now haunted by its ugly shadow, has resorted to yet another diversionary tactics of propaganda, blackmail and falsehood, this time, using paid consultants masquerading as newspaper columnists to attack and insult individuals including the person of President Goodluck Jonathan.”

PDP restated that it was not perturbed by the so-called attacks.

“We completely stand by our position that the APC is a party of unpatriotic persons whose agenda is to destroy our democracy and the unity we enjoy as a nation.

This wave of attack is clearly part of APC’s “Janjaweed” ideology of destruction and inciting the people against individuals, especially government officials, in furtherance of the plot to undermine the system and balkanize the nation along ethnic and religious lines ahead of the 2015 general elections; an agenda which has already failed.

"We are aware that the APC has engaged the services of foreigners who have since been imported into the country to do the hatchet job in collaboration with the paid consultants who pocket as much as N5 million for each negative publication.”

The ruling party added that it was aware of failed efforts by the APC to compromise credible Nigerian columnists and bloggers, “who for the love of our dear country and fear of God refused to be made agents of destabilization.”

“Nigerians must insist that the APC declares the source of the billions of naira with which it is sponsoring the negative publications. We must ensure that the funds are not coming from the resources meant for the development of their states where the people are already subjected to untold hardship on account of the looting and heavy taxes by the APC.

"As an ill-bred party, it is not surprising that the APC has continued to exhibit crass hatred for the President even to the extent of unleashing their thugs to attack innocent citizens for the singular reason of being in possession of posters of President Goodluck Jonathan.”

Metuh added, “Nigerians are now aware that the APC is a party of hypocrites; of wolves in messianic robes seeking to deceive with the promise of change. We wish to state categorically that the APC as presently constituted has nothing to offer. It is not an alternative to the PDP neither is it an option to Nigerians. Its orchestrated mantra of change remains cosmetic, hypocritical and hollow, unless we now speak of change from democracy to dictatorship.

“By every indication, the APC is a rudderless ship heading for crisis and self-destruction. We want Nigerians to note that whilst the leaders of the APC have continued to focus on attacking people and causing confusion, the PDP has focused on sensitizing the people as well as strengthening and expanding its support base.”

N10bn Jet Scandal: Petroleum Minister’s Probe Not Selective – Reps

 Allison-Madueke-jet
The House of Representatives yesterday denied allegations that its investigation of Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, over allegations of squandering N10 billion on a chartered Challenger 850 aircraft in two years is not selective.
The House was reacting to questions by newsmen on suggestions that Mrs. Alison-Madueke was unjustly being singled out for persecution in view of the fact that most top government officials are also guilty of routinely chartering aircraft for their travels, including House Speaker, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Recall that the President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide, Udengs Eradiri had on Wednesday alleged that the probe had a political undertone to it as President Goodluck Jonathan was the ultimate target.
However, in a media briefing, deputy chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Victor Ogene (Anambra/APGA), stated that drawing Mr. Tambuwal into the picture was unnecessary especially if there was no money missing from the coffers of the National Assembly.
“Drawing the speaker into it (chartering aircrafts), my simple reaction would be: is there any money missing from the coffers of the National Assembly? If there is none, why should anybody be worried about how the speaker moves”, Ogene said.
On the minister’s probe, Ogene said Section 88 of the 1999 Constitution clearly invested in the legislature the powers to investigate and expose corruption, inefficiency and waste in the management of funds appropriated by it on any matter for which it has legislative oversight.

Pokello And Elikem Become Ambassadors For Africa Fashion Week Nigeria

 Elikem-and-Pokello
Confirming the continental appeal and acceptance of the much talked about Africa Fashion Week (AFW), Pokello and Elikem, the Big Brother Africa reality stars (The Chase), have become ambassadors for the fashion show billed to hold between May 17 and 18, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN), organized by the Founder of the Africa Fashion Week London seeks to provide visibility platforms for new talents and help them gather international attention and awareness.
It also hopes to give equal opportunities to emerging and top fashion designers as well as create a platform that will promote the African fashion and richness and make it embraced all over.
The two day event will have patrons like Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas, Hon. Abike Dabiri, Senator Daisy Danjuma and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, fashion lovers, celebrities, fabric manufacturers, printers, jewelers, models, make-up artistes, buyers, potential designers and business fashion people to grace the event.
This platform which celebrates and supports African creativity was held in London in 2011 and over 100 UK and non UK designers showcased their collections which was a huge success. According to Ronke Ademiluyi, the organiser and founder of AFW, “the event is to bind emerging talents in the fashion industry, connect them to the right people, showcase them to their customers and potential ones, unleash the creativity in them, support them, give them an opportunity and platform to grow and create awareness.”

Lamido Adamawa Secession Threat: Yorubas Want To Remain In Nigeria But We’ll Not Be Threatened – Gani Adams

 Gani-Adams-480x300
The National Coordinator of the Yoruba militia group, Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Chief Gani Adams, who is also a representative of the South-West at the ongoing national conference, on Thursday, expressed disappointment over the threat by the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Aliyu Barkindo Lamido, that he will lead his people to secede to Cameroon if the controversy surrounding the modality for voting at the conference is not resolved.
The delegates are yet to agree on the voting pattern as they are divided between adopting two-thirds or three-quarter majority votes. However, most delegates agree that the Federal Government’s proposal of 75 percent votes in arriving at decisions during the conference may be a herculean task.
The development came even as Mr. Adams appealed to the entire Yoruba race to put their representatives at the conference on the watch list, advising that any Yoruba representative, who betrays his race should be politically incapacitated.
Speaking on arrival from Abuja at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, Gani Adams, who was reacting to the secession threat by the Lamido of Adamawa, cautioned that a royal father of his standing should not speak carelessly.
According to him, nobody has the right to threaten the unity of Nigeria since there are a lot of interests among the six geo-political zones in the country.
“I was highly disappointed by his statement; an eminent royal father like the Lamido of Adamawa ought not to make such a statement. He is one of the most respected emirs we have in Nigeria today. He should be the number five most recognised emir in the country. I seize this opportunity to appeal to the royal fathers, including the emir to watch their statements. Nobody should threaten the unity of Nigeria. We want Nigeria, but we should not be threatened. We, the Yoruba people want to remain in Nigeria, but we shouldn’t be threatened.
“We didn’t have oil in 1954 to 1959, but we all know what Chief Obafemi Awolowo did for this nation through the western region government. And when you study the Yoruba very carefully, 80 per cent of our development came from individuals and not government. We don’t rely on any development from government. It is the North that depends on the government. But they don’t need Nigeria more than us, we all need Nigeria because we have inter-married, done businesses together and Abuja solidifies us. There are a lot of interests among the six geo-political zones and Abuja and Lagos. It will be better for us to have one Nigeria so that our population can speak for us wherever we are.
“It is unfortunate that such a statement is coming from the emir and he is not the only one with such mindset”.
Shedding more light on the Yoruba agenda at the conference, the OPC Chieftain, who said he was ready to die for his race, alleged that there were some people from the South-West zone, who are at the conference to sabotage the Yoruba race, comparing them to a river that forgets its source.
“I’m ready to die than to betray the Yoruba cause. Some people, I believe, were brought there to sabotage the interest of the Yoruba. It is someone who is not a deep thinker that forgets his roots. For me to be a Nigerian, I must be a very good Yoruba person”, he said.

Interior Minister Finally Accepts Full Responsibility For NIS Recruitment Tragedy

NIS
Embattled Minister of the Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, on Thursday, finally took full responsibility for the ill-fated recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, held on Saturday, March 15, nationwide, which led to the death of 16 job-seekers across various centres.
It would be recalled that in his initial reaction to the tragedy, Moro had blamed the applicants for being impatient and not adhering to instructions
But appearing yesterday before the Senator Atiku Bagudu-led Senate Committee on Interior, which is conducting a two-day public hearing into the unfortunate incident, Moro said adequate arrangement was put in place by his ministry, the board and the NIS to conduct a credible electronic recruitment into the NIS in order to save the agency from the negative image of job racketeering which had plagued it over the years..
He told the senators that just like every concerned Nigerian, he was deeply grieved and saddened about the turn of events.
Moro said, “Mr Chairman and Distinguished Senators, we are deeply grieved and saddened about the way events turned out. We express our sincere regrets once again.
“However, permit me to state that our patriotic desire was the pursuit of a more honest, a more transparent, a more cost effective, a more efficient and equitable platform.
“We sincerely made appropriate and adequate preparations for a hitch-free exercise, but as most things in administrative and human conditions, the yield curve of expected outcome is mostly undefined.
“My heart goes out to the families of those who have lost their dear loved ones. I sincerely sympathise with those injured. I share in their grief. I share in their pains. May I at this juncture, assure you Distinguished Senators and Nigerians of my respect for the sanctity of human life.
“The loss of these young Nigerians, who are needed as a critical human resource factor for nation building is most regrettable. As the minister of interior, under whose purview this unfortunate exercise took place, I cannot abdicate my responsibility. The buck stops at my table”.
Dismissing insinuations that his ministry ripped unemployed Nigerians of their money by collecting an application fee of N1, 000 per applicant, Moro explained that neither the interior ministry, the Board of Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services, nor the NIS was involved in the collection and custody of the application fees, which was paid by a total of 710,110 job seekers.
Meanwhile, only 522,652 were short listed for the ill-fated aptitude test and physical examination.
“This decision was taken, mindful of the fact it was not a business or profit making venture for the Ministry but an exercise to ensure efficiency and transparency in the conduct of recruitment into the services. This e-recruitment platform has also been in use by other services, the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Airforce, Federal Road Safety Commission and the National drug Law enforcement Agency”, he added.
A permanent member of the board, Mr. Mustapha Zakariya, and the Comptroller General of Immigrations, Mr. David Parradang, told the committee that the recruitment exercise conducted was not approved by the board.
Zakariya, who said he had been a member of the board since 2008, also told the committee that the decision to hire the consultant that conducted the exercise was unilaterally taken by Moro, who is also the chairman of the board.

Caught Live: Nigerian Embassy Staff who Uses Diplomatic Bags To Smuggle Gold, Money

An international undercover investigation filmed by "ITV's Exposure" has exposed one of the many fraudulent staff at the Nigeria High Commission in UK who claimed he could transport items, including stolen art, out of "any airport" using his diplomatic connections and protection. Nigerians, now you know what is happening!

Posing as a criminal gang, ITV Exposure team, led by reporter Mark Williams-Thomas, met Mr Alfa Abutu in a London hotel. Abutu, a Nigeria Embassy senior staff told them he could transport their stolen art to Paris.
Mr Alfa Abutu, who didn't know he was being recorded secretly, told the men:
"Give me your suitcase, this suitcase usually has to be wrapped with the national flag before we can move it anywhere. And we use diplomatic vehicle whereby the police authorities will not stop us."

Exposure told Abutu the art was worth nearly £1million, to which he suggested a commission of £250,000. In a series of meetings with undercover reporters, Abutu also claimed he could help transfer money, and smuggle diamonds and gold out of the country using an embassy car and its associated privileges.

"The easiest way is that, let's say this box is loaded with $1 million and they are going out with it or gold, or diamond. With my link, we use a diplomatic vehicle from here straight to Heathrow or Gatwick," he said."They will not open the box they are bringing out. It's not a problem."

After Mr.Abutu later found out it was a fake deal, and was asked to comment on Exposure's findings, Abutu denied any wrongdoing and said he had never been involved in criminal activities. He said he is local staff, not a diplomat, doesn't have diplomatic immunity and couldn't have assisted the Exposure team to move an item.
He turned around to claim that he just played along as he believed the Exposure's team was not genuine.

But following the revelations, the Nigeria High Commission immediately suspended Abutu from his position in the accounts department, where he had worked for 6years, saying it "utterly condemns Mr Abutu's conduct".
Spokesman Ahmed Inusa said:
We supports the press and the media in their good work to expose embassy workers…who either pose as diplomats with a view to committing criminal acts for financial gains or diplomats who abuse their diplomatic privileges for any reason. The Mission thanks ITV staff in particular, for the good work they have done.

The Nigeria Football Federation's tense working relationship with coach Stephen Keshi looks set to continue.
The federation has asked Keshi to explain several incidents it is unhappy about.
Most recently Keshi did not attend Tuesday's technical committee session with the NFF.
He has also been asked to explain going on leave without permission and so missing a reception hosted by President Jonathan Goodluck in February.

As a responsible organisation, we have no other option than to issue you a query to explain how all these events unfolded
NFF letter to Stephen Keshi
"It is important we draw your attention to previous actions whereby you travel out of Nigeria without NFF's express permission," read the NFF letter to Keshi.
"Specifically, you travelled out of Nigeria before 13 February 2014, the day President Jonathan received the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) team, causing us huge embarrassment.
"Your request for leave approved by the NFF was from 15 February - 10 March 2014 but you left before 13 February and returned 26 March.
"The Technical Committee meeting on 25 March was called off because you said you had flight hitches from USA.
"As a responsible organisation, we have no other option than to issue you a query to explain how all these events unfolded."
Despite missing the Technical Committee meeting Keshi did take part in a round table discussion with Nigerian journalists in Lagos on Tuesday.
The letter, signed by NFF's Emmanuel Ikpeme, gave the former Nigeria captain 24 hours to respond to the questions raised.
However, the NFF has not made public what actions it could take if it is unhappy with Keshi's explanations.
The two sides had been enjoying a more cordial relationship in recent weeks after rows over unpaid salary and speculation about the appointment of a foreign assistant for Keshi.
Keshi has had a stormy relationship with his employers since leading an inexperienced side to victory at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
He decided against resigning from his post just hours after leading the Super Eagles to their first Nations Cup title since 1994, following disputes with the NFF.
Four months later, the NFF president, Aminu Maigari, publicly revealed that Keshi would no longer be solely responsible for selecting the squad.
Maigari queried Keshi's selection for the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil, which Nigeria exited at the group stage, and said he was dissatisfied with the current set-up.
And in December, the NFF paid Keshi part of the seven months' salary he was owed, only weeks after he described the situation as "disrespectful and unacceptable".

Fulham re-sign former Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra

Fulham re-sign midfielder Mahamadou Diarra on a deal until the end of the 2013-14 season.
Fulham have re-signed midfielder Mahamadou Diarra on a deal until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old previously join the club in February 2012 but suffered a serious knee injury later that year.
Diarra's original contract expired last summer but, despite being released, he continued to train at the club to build up his fitness.
The former Real Madrid player made 19 appearances for Fulham in his first spell, scoring once.
Fulham are four points from a position of safety with seven Premier League games remaining.
They face Everton at Craven Cottage on Sunday, before playing Aston Villa and Norwich.

Flight MH370: Thai satellite 'shows 300 floating objects'

A Thai satellite has detected some 300 objects in an area of the southern Indian Ocean being searched for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
The images were taken by the Thaichote satellite on 24 March, a day after images from a French satellite purported to show 122 floating objects.
Flight MH370 disappeared on 8 March with 239 people on board. No debris has been recovered from the ocean so far.
Searches by planes were suspended on Thursday because of poor visibility.
Ships are trying to continue the operation despite the bad weather, Australian officials said.
The latest Thai images were carried in The Nation and were said to show some 300 floating objects scattered over an area about 2,700km (1,680 miles) south-west of Perth.
The objects were about 200km (120 miles) from the site of the French satellite images.
The newspaper quoted officials as saying the information had been passed on to the Malaysian team involved in the search.
Anond Snidvongs, of Thailand's Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency, told the BBC the objects ranged from 2m to 15m (6.5ft to 50ft) in size.
He said he could not confirm they were debris from the plane.
The French images showed objects up to 23m (75ft) in length and were the first to suggest a debris field rather than just isolated objects. They had been described as the most credible lead so far.

Weather stalls search for Malaysian Jetliner MH370; satellite spots new objects

Planes and ships searching for debris suspected of being from the downed Malaysian jetliner failed to find any Thursday before bad weather cut their hunt short, as Thailand said one of its satellites had spotted hundreds of objects in the area.
The Thai satellite spotted about 300 objects floating in the southern Indian Ocean near an area where planes and ships have been hunting unsuccessfully for a week for any sign of debris from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, which disappeared March 8 with 239 people aboard.
The images from the Thai satellite showed “300 objects of various sizes” in the ocean, about 2,700 kilometers (1,675 miles) southwest of Perth, said Anond Snidvongs, director of Thailand’s space technology development agency.
He said the images, taken Monday by the Thaichote satellite, took two days to process and were relayed to Malaysian authorities on Wednesday.
The objects were about 200 kilometers (125 miles) from the area where a French satellite on Sunday spotted 122 objects, Anond said. The objects ranged in size from 2 meters (six feet) to 16 meters (53 feet) long.
The announcement came after the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said it had to pull back all 11 planes scheduled to take part in the search Thursday because of heavy rain, winds and low clouds. Five ships continued the hunt.
All but three of the planes – a US Navy P-8 Poseidon, a Japanese P-3 Orion and a Japanese Gulfstream jet _ reached the search zone, about 2,500 kilometers (1,550 miles) southwest of Perth, before the air search was suspended, AMSA spokesman Sam Cardwell said.
They were there “maybe two hours” and they did not find anything, Cardwell said.
“They got a bit of time in, but it was not useful because there was no visibility,” he said.
In a message on its Twitter account, AMSA said the bad weather was expected to last 24 hours.
Planes have been flying out of Perth for a week, looking without any success for objects spotted in vague satellite images, including the French one.
Finding them would give physical confirmation that Flight 370, which was scheduled to fly from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, crashed. That would allow searchers to narrow the hunt for the wreckage of the Boeing 777 and its black boxes, which could solve the mystery of why the jet was so far off-course.
Malaysian officials said earlier this week that satellite data confirmed the plane crashed into the southern Indian Ocean. On Thursday, Malaysia Airlines ran a full-page condolence advertisement with a black background in a major newspaper.
“Our sincerest condolences go out to the loved ones of the 239 passengers, friends and colleagues. Words alone cannot express our enormous sorrow and pain,” read the advertisement in the New Straits Times.
The 122 objects captured by the French satellite ranged in size from 1 meter (3 feet) to 23 meters (75 feet) long, but the search for them and the objects from the Thai satellite will have to wait until the weather in the search area improves, echoing the frustration of earlier sweeps that failed to zero in on three objects spotted by satellites.
Experts cautioned that the area’s frequent high seas and bad weather and its distance from land were complicating an already-trying search.
“This is a really rough piece of ocean, which is going to be a terrific issue,” said Kerry Sieh, director of the Earth Observatory of Singapore. “I worry that people carrying out the rescue mission are going to get into trouble.”
Malaysia has been criticized over its handling of one of the most perplexing mysteries in aviation history. Much of the most strident criticism has come from relatives of the Chinese passengers, some of whom expressed outrage that Malaysia essentially declared their loved ones dead without recovering a single piece of wreckage.
China dispatched a special envoy to Kuala Lumpur, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui, to deal with the crisis. He was seen Thursday along with China’s ambassador to Malaysia, Huang Huikang, arriving at a hotel on the edge of Kuala Lumpur where Chinese relatives of the passengers were staying.
Meanwhile, a US – based law firm filed court documents that often precede a lawsuit on behalf of a relative of an Indonesian-born passenger. The filing in Chicago asked a judge to order Malaysia Airlines and Chicago-based Boeing Co. to turn over documents related to the possibility that “negligence” caused the plane to crash, including any documentation about the chances of “fatal depressurization” in the cockpit.
Though officials say Flight 370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean, they don’t know why it disappeared shortly after takeoff. Investigators have ruled out nothing _ including mechanical or electrical failure, hijacking, sabotage, terrorism or issues related to the mental health of the pilots or someone else on board.
On Wednesday, FBI Director James Comey told members of Congress that his investigators should finish in a day or two their analysis of electronics owned by the pilot and co-pilot, work that includes trying to recover files deleted from a home flight simulator used by Capt. Zaharie Ahmad Shah.
And finding the wreckage and the plane’s flight data and cockpit voice recorders is a major challenge. It took two years to find the black box from Air France Flight 447, which went down in the Atlantic Ocean on a flight from Rio de Janeiro to Paris in 2009, and searchers knew within days where that crash site was.
The batteries on the recorders’ “pingers” are designed to last 30 days. After that, the pings begin to fade in the same way that a flashlight with failing batteries begins to dim, said Chuck Schofield of Dukane Seacom Inc., a company that has provided Malaysia Airlines with pingers in the past. Schofield said the fading pings might last five days before the battery dies.
Once a general area is pinpointed for the wreckage, experts say salvagers will have to deal with ocean depths ranging from 3,000 to 4,500 meters (10,000 to 15,000 feet).

I am the only one who can beat Blatter, says Michel Platini

Platini has been president of European soccer's governing body UEFA since 2007. (Reuters)
UEFA president Michel Platini told Reuters on Thursday he was the only person capable of beating Sepp Blatter in an election battle for the FIFA presidency.
The 58-year-old emphasised that he is yet to decide whether or not to stand for world soccer’s top job next year, but told Reuters in a briefing following the completion of the UEFA Congress in Kazakhstan, “There is only one person who can beat Blatter.”
Asked who that was he said: “Me.”
Platini has been president of European soccer’s governing body UEFA since 2007.
Asked if he had enough support outside of Europe, he replied: “Yes I have many people who support me around the world.
“But I have not decided yet to run, I am happy being UEFA president, and I still have to decide about FIFA. I will consult many people but it will be my personal decision in the end.”
Blatter, who has been FIFA president since 1998, has dropped increasingly strong hints that he will stand for re-election for a fifth term, but will not announce his intentions until FIFA’s annual congress in Sao Paulo just before the start of the World Cup.
So far only Jerome Champagne, a former Blatter aide at FIFA, has announced his candidacy.
But Champagne also said when launching his bid that he did not think he could beat Blatter if the 78-year-old decided to run.
“I have a different opinion,” Platini said.

Barack Obama meets ‘inspiration’ Pope to discuss inequality

Pope Francis and President Barack Obama smile as they meet at the Vatican. (AP)

Barack Obama held a historic first meeting with Pope Francis on Thursday to discuss a shared agenda of fighting global inequality despite wide differences over issues like gay rights and contraception.
Obama told Francis he was a “great admirer” at the start of their talks at the Vatican, which political observers said could be a bid to boost the US president’s support at home among Catholic voters.
Obama was accompanied by US Secretary of State John Kerry and the delegation was led through the Apostolic Palace to the pope’s study by Swiss Guards and ceremonial aides known as Papal Gentlemen.
The first African-American US president spoke of the first pope from Latin America as an “inspiration” in an
interview with the Corriere della Sera daily.
“The Holy Father has been an inspiration to people around the world, including me,” Obama said, adding however, “It doesn’t mean we agree on every issue”.
The meeting comes as a welcome rest-stop for Obama during a six-day European tour dominated by the crisis over Crimea, and the US leader will doubtless be hoping some of the Pope’s stardom will rub off on him.
Obama is “mostly going I think to bask in the glow of the new pope,” said Jeremy Shapiro, visiting fellow at
Washington’s Brookings institute.
His main aim will be “to highlight their sort of mutual attention to the problems of poverty and inequality. This isn’t really a foreign policy stop,” he said.
Ahead of the meeting, Francis celebrated mass for a group of 500 Italian politicians in which he warned them against becoming “hard-hearted” and “corrupt”.
Obama will also meet new Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi — the European Union’s youngest government leader – and President Giorgio Napolitano, as well as going on a private guided tour of the Colosseum.
Diplomatic relations between Italy and the United States are close, though Rome has been cautious about imposing sanctions on Russia over the Ukraine crisis, amid fears it would take a toll on a key market.
Obama in his interview highlighted Italy’s “critical role” in the Mediterranean region, praising Renzi for visiting Tunisia on his first foreign trip and saying Washington and Rome were collaborating to rebuild Libya.

Missing Malaysian jetliner: Passengers’ families worried about funeral preparations

Relatives of Chinese passengers onboard Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 cry as they protest outside the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing, China. (AP)
Families of passengers of the crashed Malaysian airliner are in a fix over funeral preparations as there are no bodies to be claimed or any information about the time and place of death.
The Prime Minister’s Department reported last rites for Muslims would not be carried out until the search mission had
reached a conclusion.
Other faiths are also in a similar dilemma as details of death are imperative.
Ethnic Indian Hindu G Subramaniam, whose son Puspanathan, 34, was on the flight, said as there was no body he did not know what to do. “I still believe my son will return as there is no death certificate issued on his status,” he told local daily New
Straits Times.
Tan Hoe Chieow, president of the Federation of Taoist Associations Malaysia said funeral rites could only be completed with the location and time of the incident. “We need to know where it happened and go to the scene of the accident to perform rituals and prayers. It can be done without the physical body, but the priest and family must be in the same area,” he said.
Multi-ethnic Malaysia has a majority-Muslim population but also has ethnic Indians who are mostly Hindus and Sikhs, and ethnic Chinese who are Christians, Taoists or Buddhists.
Jagir Singh, who is president of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST), suggested that the government prepare a memorial or tribute to honour the missing passengers and crew members.
“When it comes to prayers, whether or not to hold a funeral, the family must decide. Perhaps there can be prayers for the soul before last rites are held,” he said.
In the case of Christians and Buddhists, funeral rites can still proceed.
Catholic priest Father Lawrence Andrew said that a body was not necessary. He said prayers could be performed for those who have passed away.
The Beijing-bound Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 – carrying 239 people, including 38 Malaysians, five Indians, an
Indo-Canadian and 154 Chinese nationals – vanished after taking off from Kuala Lumpur on March 8 and is now believed to have crashed into the remote southern Indian Ocean.

NIS Recruitment Tragedy Confirmation Of Jonathan Administration’s Cluelessness – PPA

Almost two weeks after the botched Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment exercise that resulted in the death of at least 19 applicants, the Progressive Peoples Alliance on Wednesday stated that the incident was a confirmation that the government of President Goodluck Jonathan was clueless.
The party, which was making its first pronouncement on the matter since it happened, regretted that despite all the weighty allegations, the Federal Government had retained the Minister of Interior, Mr. Abba Moro when ordinarily, he should have been fired.
The National Chairman of PPA, Mr. Peter Ameh, in a statement in Abuja said the minister could have only acted in such brazen manner because he knew that nothing would come out of it.
He said, “The failed recruitment exercise by NIS and the painful destruction of lives that came along with it is very worrisome. Whether we want to believe it or not, pretending over the current state of affairs in our beloved country is an indication that Nigeria is showing worrisome signs of a failed state.
“Truly speaking, with close to 15 years of civil and democratic governance, Nigeria should have been liberated from such a huge problem of unemployment. Nigeria’s unemployment rate is alarming and from all indications, Jonathan’s government has ran out of ideas on how to combat it.
“How can any responsible organisation or an individual conduct such an interview for job applicants despite the fact that they were with them and yet still failed in making sure that adequate preparation was made?”
According to him, the stampede “that was occasioned by bad leadership under the Peoples Democratic Party government” would have taken more lives at the venue of the recruitment exercise if not for the disciplined nature of the applicants.
Ameh said under the PDP led federal government, the country had experienced the worst cases of corruption such as the pension scam and the $20bn missing Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation money.

Confab Allowance Rejection: Bakare, Falana, Agbakogba Playng To The Gallery – Delegate

MOSHOOD SALVADOR
   MOSHOOD SALVADOR

A delegate to the ongoing National Conference, Moshood Salvador, has disclosed that he hired the services of professors as researchers to facilitate his work at the conference.
He was speaking in response to the widely held belief that delegates to the conference were being paid jumbo allowances.
The former member of the House of Representatives also accused Ogun State delegate and Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, Pastor Tunde Bakare; a former President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Olisa Agbakoba, and human rights lawyer, Femi Falana – of playing to the gallery over their decision not to collect the confab allowance.
The delegate explained that since the conference began, he had incurred expenses over and above the bi-weekly allowance of N1.46m for employing media aides and researchers including professors to enable him to perform optimally at the confab.
He spoke on Wednesday in Lagos, during the public presentation of his memoir titled, “Hon. Moshood Salvador’s Memoir: Beyond the Dream”.
The former lawmaker, who served between 1999 and 2003, said he decided to employ the services of the unnamed university dons with a view to “getting the best formula for Nigeria”.
He said, “It is only when we don’t love this nation that we will be talking about money. On the issue of jumbo pay, I don’t know anything about it.
“Those saying they are going to donate that allowance to charity are only playing to the gallery. I have spent more than N3m on this cause (National Conference). I’m not waiting for government money.
“I have rented an apartment of about N800, 000 a month. I have employed the services of a media team, researchers and they are there in my private office in Wuse, Abuja, conducting research and surfing the web to get information.
“In fact, I don’t want to mention professors that we are working together with to make sure we get the best formula for this nation. This money is from my pocket, not from anywhere. At my level, that’s not jumbo pay. I don’t even think about it (the pay)”.

After 19 Years of Marriage, Man Discovers That His Wife Used to Be A Man

manA Belgian man is seeking to have his marriage annulled after discovering that his Indonesian wife of 19 years had been born a man. The man, only named as Jan, married Monica, his family’s former nanny in a previous marriage, in 1993 despite legal difficulties raised by the Belgian immigration authorities. But it was only in recent weeks that he discovered that his wife had originally been a man and had undergone a s*x change.
“I feel I’ve been assaulted,” he said. “I brought her to Belgium. That was not easy. The Belgian courts had serious doubts about the authenticity of her birth and her identity papers, but eventually they accepted it anyway.
“I thought she was an attractive woman, all woman. She had no male traits.” Jan, 64, said that he and his wife had decided not to have children because he had two by his previous marriage and she fooled him by pretending to menstruate, using sanitary towels, “to conceal the truth”. “Even during s*x, I never noticed anything,” he said.
For many years the couple lived a normal family life and Monica, 48, was like a “big sister” to his children until their marriage started to come under strain when she got a new full-time job.
“Monica began to change very much,” he said. “My oldest son saw her sometimes at a nightclub. She began to wear very flashy clothes, those ultra-short skirts or tiny tops, so her abdomen was completely exposed.” Finally rumors began to surface and after Jan found “amorous messages” from other men on her computer, he confronted her in a violent row that led to the police being called. “A friend told me that he had heard that Monica was actually a s*x-changed man. I could not believe it. My son heard similar rumors,” he said.
“I pushed her against the wall and said: Now I know the truth. Are you a man? She then announced that she was born as a boy and that she had been operated on. She was now a woman, and so she did not need to tell me about her past as a man.
My world collapsed. That evening we came to blows. The police came.” Jan, who is undergoing psychiatric treatment following the discovery, has started legal proceedings to have the marriage annulled but the Belgian courts have so far refused to allow him to turn her out of the family home.
“That person has deliberately deceived him for years, even scammed. Presumably she has also forged documents used here to get a residence permit. The children, who for years have lived with her, are devastated,” said his Liliane Verjauw, his lawyer.

Lagos To Experience 263 Days Of Rainfall In 2014

Lagos State government, yesterday, declared that the state is expecting 263 days of rainfall this year and this may be accompanied with strong winds, lightning and thunderstorms.
It added that rainstorms would be common over the coastal cities areas with occasional flash flood and ocean surges that would greatly affect persons living along the flood plains but the magnitude of devastation shall depend on the activities of the people.
The state government last year announced rainfall of between 249 and 275 days with intermittent stoppages.
The state Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello, stated this at the presentation of year 2014 annual seasonal rainfall prediction and socio-economic implication for the state as earlier predicted by Nigerian  Meteorological Agency, NIMET, held at Ministry’s office, Alausa, Ikeja.
“The Seasonal Rainfall Prediction, SRP, rainfall onset date for this year began in the first week of March in the southernmost part of the country and late June in the far northern parts.
“However, rainfall onset in Lagos Stare has since commenced from 14 March, 2014 in Ikeja, with a three days marginal error was given.
“The strong winds, lighting and thunderstorms which are regular phenomena during the onset and cessation of rainfall was also predicted to occur in stronger magnitude during this year’s raining period,” he stated.

Beyonce, Lady Gaga And Rihanna: Faces Of The New Se’x Slaves

miley cyrusSe’x sells” has become the mantra used by top entertainers and their handlers all over the world. No important artiste in the new world does anything without se’xual lyrics, erotic dance moves and nudi’ty.Beyonce, a married woman, gave the world her clitor’is while performing at the 2014 Grammy Awards. The media helped her out by calling it a “wardrobe malfunction”!
Miley Cyrus became the toast of the world media just by twerking–a dance move that involves placing one’s behind on a man’s crotch!

beyonce show clitss
Back home in Nigeria, the likes of Cossy Orjiakor, Maheeda and Afro Candy owe their celebrity statuses to nothing else but se’x oriented contents! This is because the moral system of the world is being suffocated with the pillow of liberalism.
Mankind has embarked on a se’x driven journey and this mission dictates and rules everything. You can’t make box office hits or sell platinum if you don’t have se’xual contents embedded into your work. This development has created the new se’x slaves. Unfortunately, these slaves are celebrities!
Kanye West in his new song said: I Know That We Are The New Slaves.
A se’x Slave is someone you buy for the purpose of having se’x with, anytime, any day! Most Celebrities today are se’x symbols, take it or leave it. Millions of their fans have se’x with these se’x symbols in their minds while watching them on TV.
Today, a female Singer will have to go nude or show a sizable part of her privates to become the most talked about or most popular Artiste. This is because the artiste is trying to please the se’x driven society who he or she has become a Slave to without knowing it.
These days, artistes have to add some erotic or mystical lyrics to guarantee a hit because it is believed that se’x sells. So if you want to become a best seller, you must give the buyers or fans–the new Slave Masters–what they want.
When it comes to entertainment, Man has become numb to just creativity, but has become very sensitive to se’x and profanity! So, to make an impact, you must be a genius in the art of selling se’x. The likes of Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna etc have completely become living sacrifices on the alter of the spirit of se’x!
These artistes are the personification of what man has become. Their erotic works are consumed massively by millions of people because they are serving them exactly what they want and how they actually want it. That’s why their shows sell out. One would think they are lucky but the truth is, they are se’x slaves to the insatiable se’xual cravings of the human race.

Preview: West Ham v Hull - Team news, match stats and probable line-ups

 West Ham v Hull City
Sam Allardyce confirmed what most Hammers fans already know in his pre-match press conference this week, stating that West Ham still aren’t quite out of the relegation woods just yet.
After three defeats on the trot, the latest being a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester United on Saturday, Allardyce said “We’ve put ourselves in a little bit of danger again, there’s no doubt about that,”
The 2-0 home defeat against a rejuvenated Manchester United side dented West Ham’s chances of climbing up the table and further adrift of the relegation zone, with the Hammers currently positioned 14th in the league on 31 points.
The Upton Park faithful will deem the Hammers next two fixtures against Hull City and Sunderland, who are all in similar positions in the league, as vital matches in order to steer our club away from any possibilities of being dragged back into a relegation dog fight.
Allardyce admits it is harder to find a reason (or excuse?) for the Hammers’ recent run of defeats than it was during their poor spell at the turn of the year. Now the 59-year-old, who kept his job during the difficult stage of the campaign, cannot pinpoint why his side are suffering a similar slump, beyond them lacking a clinical edge in attack and defence.
“We haven’t achieved the results that the performances warranted,” Allardyce said.
“That is the disappointment for me because we knew the bad times we had in December and January were really down to the limited players we had available.”
“At the moment we have just not got that instinctive, killer edge on the front line and because we are going all out for it we have left the back door open a couple of times and the opposition have taken full advantage of that.”

Team News:

West Ham:
  • James Tomkins could make way for Winston Reid
  • West Ham are again only without Joey O’Brien and Marco Borriello.
  • Matt Taylor returned to central midfield against Manchester United but Antonio Nocerino could come back in after a poor performance from the Hammers.
  • Matt Jarvis could also come back in on the flank for Mo Diamé.
Hull:
  • Shane Long is a doubt after being forced off during the win over West Brom at the weekend with a knee injury.
  • George Boyd is still out through suspension.
  • Maynor Figueroa could come back in at left-back, with Rosenior switching to the right and Elmohamady moving back into midfield.

LIVERPOOL v SUNDERLAND: BIG MATCH STATS AND FACTS

Luis Suarez has scored seven goals in six Barclays Premier League appearances against Sunderland.

Sunderland have scored just five goals in 12 Premier League visits to Anfield.

The Black Cats have won just three of the 25 Premier League games against Liverpool, losing 14 - all three of these wins have come at home.

Liverpool have won 10 and lost none of their last 11 Premier League games at Anfield.

Daniel Sturridge has scored 10 goals in 10 Premier League appearances at Anfield this season, including six in his last four there.

Liverpool have only failed to score in one of their last 15 Premier League games at Anfield (0-1 v Southampton in September), averaging 2.9 goals per game in this period.

Luis Suarez needs two goals to become the first Liverpool player to score 30 league goals in a single season since Ian Rush in 1986-87.

Suarez has scored or assisted 39 goals this season, only three players (Alan Shearer, Andy Cole & Thierry Henry) have been involved in more goals in a single campaign.

In 11 Premier League games in 2014, Liverpool have scored an average of 3.45 goals per game. Over a full season that would result in 131 goals.

Liverpool games have seen an average of four goals per game (for and against combined) this season, the first time this rate has been seen by any top-flight side since the 1963-64 season.

Bacary Sagna: Inter Milan interested in Arsenal defender

Bacary Sagna

Inter Milan are interested in signing Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna when his contract expires in the summer.
But the Italians have not been in negotiations with Manchester United defender Patrice Evra, according to club president Erick Thohir.
"We're interested in Sagna because we need to balance the team," said Thohir.

"Right now we only have [Yuto] Nagatomo and Jonathan. If one of them gets injured you need somebody else to come in."
Sagna joined Arsenal in 2007 and has made 275 appearances for the London club but has yet to sign a contract extension.
Thohir added in an interview   "If Sagna decided to stay in England, we'd understand and in that case we might bring in a young player from our academy."
When asked if the club were interested in signing Chelsea forward Fernando Torres or Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, Thohir said: "What I said is that we need someone up top.
"The media have written about those players and I mentioned that one of them would be good for Inter."
Thohir backed manager Walter Mazzarri despite the club being 31 points adrift of league leaders Juventus following a 2-1 home loss to Atalanta on Sunday.
But he said he will review the situation at the end of the season.
Thohir said: "Am I satisfied with Mazzarri's work? Yes, I don't have any problem with him or with the management. When it comes to the end of the season, we review everything."
